Institutions Double Down on Tokenization as Digital Asset Exposure Set to Surge
Institutional investors are accelerating their embrace of digital assets, with nearly 60% planning increased allocations in the coming year. State Street's 2025 global research reveals expectations for average exposure to double within three years, as tokenization emerges as a strategic priority.
Over half of surveyed executives anticipate 10-24% of their portfolios will be tokenized by 2030. "Digital assets are now a strategic lever for growth, efficiency, and innovation," said Joerg Ambrosius of State Street, noting the convergence of tokenization with AI and quantum computing.
The findings underscore a decisive shift beyond experimentation, with blockchain-enabled transformation gaining mainstream institutional acceptance. Early adopters are positioning themselves to shape the future of finance through this technological convergence.
